Monnie Marie Slone

Monnie Marie Slone, 85, formerly of Columbus, OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2015. Monnie was born April 8, 1929 in Ulysses, KY to the late Samuel and Roberta (Boyd) Borders. Mrs. Slone was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband Dolph D. Slone who passed away March 13, 2011, daughters Deborah Tomblin, D. Jane Snead, grandson Jason Tomblin and siblings Garnet Adams and Donald Borders. Monnie is survived by her daughters Brenda (Doug) Kausek of Somerset and Carla O'Malley of Columbus, OH, sisters Bonnie Hayes of Ashland, KY and Gertrude Van Hoose of New Carlisle, OH, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2014 from 11:30 AM until time of service at 1:30 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Autumn Health Care for her care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dementia and Alzheimer Foundations.
