Nancy Lee Heckman

Nancy Lee Heckman, age 91 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 9, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, and was a graduate of West High School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, her love of animals, ceramics, crocheting and colored pencil art.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Howard Harley Heckman; her parents, Frank and Myrtle Bussart; stepmother Dorothy Bussart; and her grandson, David Heckman.

She is survived by daughters Linda Cayford (Fred); Diana Heckman (Margo); Julie Heckman; and Lisa Bailey (Donny); grandchildren Shannon Stinchcomb (Aaron), Holly Cayford (Brandon), Kelly Heckman (David), Michael Donnelly, Landen Cayford (Emma), and Ashley Brandle; great-grandchildren Cameron Heckman, Baylee Cayford, Mason Donnelly, Liam Stinchcomb, Ryder Hoberty, Eli Thatcher and Judson Thatcher; special friends of the family Angela Hoberty Anderson and Lisa DeStefano Wissinger.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, followed by visitation where family will receive friends until 1:00 p.m.
