

Nancy Kauffman Mowrey, age 84, of Hilliard, on September 11, 2010, at Riverside Hospital. Born August 28, 1926 in Columbus. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, a dear lady who will be dearly missed by husband, family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Firme Anthony Kauffman, by brother, Lt. Edward Kauffman, killed in a post-WWII air crash in Italy, and by brother-in-law and wife, Elmous and Elgene Price Mowrey. Survived by husband of 60 years, Marshall Mowrey, by sons Steven (Joanna Mitchell) Mowrey of Athens and Vincent Mowrey of Ojai, CA, by daughters Mindy (David) Eagle of Hilliard and Marcy (Michael) Gauch of Upper Arlington, by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and by nieces and nephews. Graduate of Grandview Heights High School 1944 and Miami University 1948. Employed in her early years by Dennison Engineering of Grandview, by the CIA in Washington, and by North American Aviation in Columbus; in her later years by Mid-Ohio Health Planning Federation and Central Ohio Lung Association, in Columbus, retiring in 1990. Longtime member of First Community Church. Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 10am until the time of funeral service at 11:30am at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus. Private burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria. Rev. James M. Long and Pastor Michael Gauch will be officiating.
