Gary and family!  I just learned of your loss today and was so sorry to hear!  We had some good times when you guys were in Hot Springs!  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in the days to come.

I just learned of Nancy's passing and want to express my deepest sympathy.  I first met Nancy when I had her daughter, Erica, in fourth grade at Lincoln Elementary. Nancy stood out as a very dedicated parent for she was a very loving, caring, and involved mother.  In addition, she willing gave of her time at Lincoln Elementary, volunteering for many years in all areas of service-  from room parent to PTO president.  Nancy's positive attitude, cheerful and kind ways, and her willingness to give above and beyond made her very special.  She will be deeply missed and I extend to you, Erika, your father, your siblings, and all of your mother's dear grandchildren my very deepest sympathy and love.

Nancy and I shared beautiful moments while our walks in Palm Valley, Arizona.She was the best neighbour and friend I could ever have had. Always came to visit me when in Arizona which really touched me a lot.  My crazy life stories made her laugh a lot! I will miss her forever!

Although I only got to be with Nancy a few times, I really enjoyed her.  When the phone rang to inform me that she had passed away, I had just finished writing an encouraging note to our worship leader at church and had quoted Psalm 148, which is about heavenly worship.  It is awesome how God uses His Word, its comfort and the peace of knowing that those who know Jesus Christ as their Saviour have a heavenly home beyond anything we can imagine, although God does give us a peak at what it is like in the Bible,  and that the saints are worshipping and singing away there.  From what I understand, her dad's parents were traveling minstrels for their church, singing at funerals and using a banjo.  There is much rejoicing on the other side in life eternal!!!
The best part is that we see Jesus so that we walk no longer by faith but by sight, seeing our Creator.

Psalm 148:13--which I had just finished writing in the note when the phone call came about Nancy--Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

I am so sorry about Nancy.  I haven't seen or talked to her in years.  But we were always at each others houses when we were kids.  We went clear through school from 1-12 together. You may not remember me, but I am one of the twins.  I won't be able to make it to the services, I've been sick and my husband had a stroke in 2008 and is in a wheelchair and I can't bring him out in this weather.  You will be in my prayers. Nancy has been like family to us for many years and we are so grateful to have had the priveledge of knowing her and Gary. She has always been so very supportive of her grandkids as well as all of the other kids on the teams. I remember sitting around the table outside over the summers listening to her affectionately pick on the kids and enjoying the stories! She would spend hours in the yard picking at the flowerbeds to be sure that there were no weeds or anything other than her beautiful flowers in them. They always welcomed everyone in the pool, even though it was usually loud and chaotic! However, the kids will never forget having to do the "Sunshine Dance" before being able to jump in! And her seatbelt purses, and the holiday sweaters that would drive Allysia crazy, and how important her family and friends were to her! You will be missed by so many people Nancy, but will always be in our hearts.

Mason and I were talking about Nancy yesterday and he will always remember her for allowing the team to take over their pool.  She very patiently allowed all those boys and siblings to create havoc in her backyard.  Those pool parties created great memories for our team over the years.  I think the chaos sometimes stressed her out a bit and she would go inside until it was all over, but she never complained, at least to the kids.  She let them be boys!  Nancy will forever be in the hearts of our Baseball Families, forever a Lion Grandma! We will miss her but her spirit will be on the field!

My favorite memory is sitting at the Gahanna Lions baseball games watching our Grandsons playing baseball and never remembering the score. I started keeping track of the score and the innings with empty peanut shells and Nancy would say "Hey Judi, what's the score. We had some good laughs over my unconventional score keeping.Our wonderful memories will keep Nancy with us forever. God be with her family and friends
