

Natividad R. Bishel “Naty”, 59, of Reynoldsburg, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 31, 1951 in the Philippines. Naty met her husband, Arnie, while he was serving in the Air Force. They were married and moved to Columbus in the 1970’s. Naty worked at JC Penny’s as a beautician until 1986 when she opened her own beauty salon (Naty’s Hair Design) in the Fountain Square Shopping Center. In Sept. of 1995, she relocated to Cleveland Ave., where she worked until March. Naty attended St. Pius X Catholic Church, and supported Bahay Bata, which is an orphanage in the Philippines. Naty’s family, friends and clients were so important to her. She always had an open door for those in need. Naty loved traveling all over the U.S. and the world with her husband visiting relatives and friends. She will be remembered for her compassion and generosity which she showed to everyone she knew. Preceded in death by her parents Teddoro and Hermina Rivera. Naty will be missed by her loving husband, Arnie Bishel; son, Charles Bishel; daughter, Abegail Bishel; grandchildren, Ali and Annabelle; brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; members of the Rivera & Bishel family; and dear friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH.
