Neal Joseph Stoffel

Neal Joseph Stoffel, age 60, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Neal was born in Columbus, on March 16, 1955 to the late Donald E. and Catherine H. (Foley) Stoffel.

Neal graduated from Bishop Ready High School in 1973 and The Ohio State University with a Bachelors in Science. He retired from Mt. Carmel Hospital as a Lab Technician. He was a Buckeye fan and a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Indianapolis Colts. Neal enjoyed watching Jeopardy and having friendly competitions. He was voracious reader of mysteries and fiction.

Neal was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his siblings, Allen Stoffel, Anne (Robert) Schaumleffel and Barbara (James) McEntire; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 with a prayer service at 5:00 pm at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 S. Roys Ave. with Fr. Stanley Benecki celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation, 96 S. Grant St., Columbus, OH 43215 or the Thurber House,77 Jefferson Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
