Today our beautiful loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, Nevel Louise Elkins passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 1, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1929 in Louisa, Kentucky to Anthony and Ella Blackburn. Louise is a member of Westside Freewill Baptist Church and Local UAW. She worked for General Motors for 33 years retiring in 1986. Louise loved to garden and her doggie Maggie. Preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers; 6 sisters; husband, William Elkins; children, Doyle L. Plants and Connie Cordial. She is survived by her son, Danny L. Plants; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 10:30 -11:30 am at Advantage Funeral Home by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Nevel Louise was a beautiful light and was loved by everyone.
