Nicholas Shane George

Nicholas Shane George, age 34, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Nick was born on April 1, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio, to Louis and Patricia George. He graduated from Cardington Lincoln Local High School, where he distinguished himself as a state runner-up in wrestling—an achievement that reflected his determination and competitive spirit. Nick was a man of faith, baptized and confirmed as a child, and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. He had a deep love for basketball, was a proficient gamer, and most importantly, a devoted father who cherished his children. At the time of his passing, Nick was working at Marco’s Pizza in Grove City and was in the process of preparing to move back to Texas with his family, excited for a new chapter together. Nick will be remembered for his heart and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty Holdren, Ella and Louis George. Survived by his parents, Patricia and Louis George; children, Jayden and Ava George; siblings, Michael (Lisa) Finley II, Marcus (Ashley) Finley, Amber (Michael) Grant, Timothy (Gaby) George; grandfather, Joseph Holdren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A private family gathering was held at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204.
