Nora E. Hostutler

Nora E. Hostutler, age 71, passed away on May 18, 2026. Born on December 13, 1954, Nora was a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her, remembered with deep affection and enduring respect. She resided in Grove City, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her siblings Althea Hostutler, Cleo Hostutler, and Dale Hostutler Jr. She is survived by her brother Sam D. Hostutler; her special friend Ernie Odell; her niece Melissa "Missy" Kight and as well the Gain family, Mullet family and the Cross family. Nora was devoted in the ways that mattered most—steady in her care for others, gentle in spirit, and consistently kind-hearted. A caretaker at heart, she offered quiet support and thoughtful attention that made people feel seen and valued. Her love of genealogy reflected a sincere appreciation for family history and the connections that bind generations. She also dearly loved her dog, Kody, who brought comfort and companionship to her days. Nora gave back to others through her support of the American Red Cross, a meaningful reflection of her compassionate regard for people in need. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 11AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made in Nora’s name to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
