

Norma Jean Eesley, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016. She was born April 4, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Ruth (Amrine) Hughes. She was a music enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a great cook, avid reader, longtime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and an Ohio State Buckeye basketball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Kathryn Lyday and Carlton Hughes. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert "Bob" Eesley; children, Cathy (Ernie) Howard, Mike (Meg) Eesley, Tom Eesley, and Jon (Tami) Eesley; grandchildren, Toby and Bob Howard, Eren (Brandon) Loughry, Eric Eesley, Graham Eesley, and Garrett (Erika) Eesley; great-grandson, Halen Howard; and sister in law, Marilyn Kemz. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City with Pastor Don Allman officiating. Interment Galloway Cemetery.
