Norma Jean Fleming

Norma Jean Fleming, age 91, of Columbus, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Darby Glenn Nursing Center. She was a longtime Hilltop resident and a 65-year member of West Park United Methodist Church. She retired from Columbus Public Schools, having worked as an aide at Westgate Elementary, Hilltonia Junior High, and West High School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marie Ankrom and siblings, Ernest "Snap" Ankrom, Vivian Rasor, and Phyllis Hulse. She is survived by her children, Susan (Scott) Gettinger and Doug (Renee) Fleming; grandchildren, Nathan, Ben (Elle Spacek), and Jared (Laura) Gettinger; Dustin and Derek (Sandy) Fleming, Danielle (Heath) Clack, and Devin (Darren) Lott; eight great-grandchildren; siblings Bill Ankrom and Maxine Allison, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 4-7:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Heart and Hope by Schoedinger, 3030 West Broad Street, where a funeral will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 28, 2021; interment will follow at Muhlenberg Cemetery, Darbyville, OH.
