Norma J. Loving

Norma Jean “Nornie” Loving, age 87, of Bexley, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her home. She was born April 23, 1931 in Bexley, Ohio, daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Hedrick) Hoagland II, both DDS. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles K. Loving; her children, Charles K. Loving, Jr, MD, Loren Loving, JD, Matthew (wife, Annette) Loving and Kristen Mary Loving Kellas (husband, Robert); 7 beloved grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and sister, Mary Jo Price (husband, William), Worthington, OH; other relatives and many friends. She attended Columbus School for Girls and graduated from Bexley High School, Class of 1948, where she was on the Homecoming Court. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Hoagland III, DDS. As a sport, Norma enjoyed playing tournament English croquet in Ohio and Florida. She loved gardening, horses, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an equestrian and breeder of fine German Hanoverian horses. Norma was a member of the Childhood League and a founding member of the Little Garden Club of Columbus, which was instrumental in the establishment of the Topiary Park. Family and friends will celebrate Norma’s life with a gathering at the Columbus Club, 181 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215 from 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2018. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery Saturday, May 26, 2018.
