

Norman Y. Frickie, age 71 of Millersport, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010. Norman was born and raised in Columbus, son of the late Norman A. and Alice (Legg) Frickie. Also preceded in death by the love of his life, Shirley George. Following high school, Norman proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army. As the owner of Norm’s Sand and Gravel, Norman worked as a truck driver and traveling quickly became a passion of his. He enjoyed watching the sun rise over the Ohio River, traveling to Key West with his beloved Shirley, and even enjoyed taking day trips in his car just to have a great lunch. His love of telling jokes and his infectious chuckle will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his sister, Rebecca Lash; step-daughter, Sherry Daniels; step-grandchildren, Patrick Parsons, Valerie Davis, and Ryan Fisher; 4 step-great grandchildren; nephew, David (Stacey) Lash; niece, April (Aaron) Eckert; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 15, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 9:30 until time of service.
