

A funeral service for Norman J. Schroeder will be held Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Wilson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Norman was born on March 7, 1923 in Newark to the late Harry B. and Lena M. (Wildeboer) Schroeder. He died October 13, 2012 at the Sterling House in Newark. He was 89.
Norman was a member of the St Francis De Sales High School Class of ’41, where he played basketball. He served his country in WWII serving in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum as a chemical lab worker. He loved to watch football and baseball games, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was also an avid photographer.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife Louise J. (Palmer) Schroeder.
He is survived by his good friend Mary Booth, sisters Helen Truex of Florida and Alvena Wilson of Newark, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many other family members.
