Oscar Ivory Burnett

Oscar Ivory Burnett, age 50, passed away suddenly Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born May 18, 1966 in Huntington, West Virginia to Roger and Joyce (Perry) Burnett. Oscar enjoyed calling people on his phone, watching movies, and sports. He was a huge WWE fan and also loved watching football and racing. He worked for ARC Industries. Oscar was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother Joyce and step-father, George Messinger; brothers, William (Carol), Michael, Robert, and Shawn Burnett; best friend, Joey; special friends, Tim (Debbie) Messinger and caregiver, Angel Smith; special valentine, Jeannie Price and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5-7pm at the Schoedinger East Chapel 5360 E Livingston Ave, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Rome Proctorville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 E Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213-9924.
