

Otis Lawrence “Larry” Bradford, age 91, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011. He was born in Meigs County, Ohio, on September 9, 1919. He joined the US Army in 1941, immediately after graduation from The Ohio State University. In February, 1943, his forward observation post was overrun near Kasserine Pass in North Africa and he spent the rest of the war as a POW in Oflag 64 in Schubin, Poland. He was an avid political items collector, antique dealer and follower of OSU sports and TBDBITL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean, his parents William and Helen Powell Bradford, his brothers Robert and Wallace, his son Robert and daughter-in-law Judy Bradford. He is survived by his children, Gail (Dan) Brown of Millersport, OH, Lynne (Ken) Brown of London, OH, and David Bradford of Nelsonville, OH; daughter-in-law Anne Bradford of Bath, PA; sister Elizabeth Lohse of Pomeroy, OH; and brother Alan (Marguerite) Bradford of Staunton, VA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Schoedinger-Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, with interment to follow at the Galloway Cemetery. Pastor Mike Berne will be officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
