Patricia M. Gilliland

Patricia Gilliland passed away Saturday, October 20 at Kobacker House. Patty was 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oma and Martine Karrer, and uncles, Dr. Henry and Dr. Herman Karrer and cousin, George Karrer. Patty is survived by her loving daughters Sarah Wilkerson, Erin Gilliland, granddaughter Ellen Claire Wilkerson, and her brother Timothy Karrer as well as nieces Laura, Emily, and Leah Wendt and loving friend Stan Gilliland.

Patty was a graduate of Grant School of Nursing and served as a general duty RN at Grant for many years. She received a bachelor's and master's degree at OSU and became deeply interested in mental health and counseling and served many years in addiction counseling at Comp Drug in Columbus.

Patty was noted as a gifted pianist and clarinetist. A longtime member of Dublin Community Church and nearly lifelong resident of Upper Arlington, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
