Patricia Marie Jurgensen

Patricia "Patty" Marie Jurgensen, age 63, of Columbus, died February 26, at Kobacker House. Devoted to her family, friends and to her community, Patty contributed so much to so many, without any interest in personal recognition. A voracious reader with keen insights on the world around her, Patty was as principled and loyal as she was generous. Whatever she put her mind to, Patty excelled in, whether volunteering for the causes she cared so deeply about, hosting company and community events, or playing Bridge, golf or Mahjong. Her most important interest was being "GiGi" to her five precious grandchildren. To her friends and family, Patty was beyond compare, and her passing a profound loss. Preceded in death by her father M. Joseph Kennedy. Survived by her grade school sweetheart and husband Jerry; mother Dorothy Kennedy, of Omaha, NE; daughter Jennifer (Dennis) Quilio, of Gig Harbor, WA, and their children Ryan and Austin; son Joseph (Sarah) Jurgensen, of Louisville, KY and their children Tyler, Sam, and Savannah; sisters Denise Floersch, of Battle Lake, MN, Diana (Andrew) Kennedy, of Kansas City, MO, Barbara (Dave) Ingraham, of Gilbert, AZ, Linda Kennedy, of Omaha, NE, and Colleen Kennedy, of Omaha, NE; numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Marian High School in Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 8 at the Columbus Museum of Art from 2-6pm. Complimentary valet service will be available along Broad Street for guests. Mass of Christian Burial 10am, Monday, March 9, at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH.
