Patricia McElroy

A funeral service for Patricia L. McElroy of Newark will be held Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Rube Gayheart officiating. Interment will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Patricia was born in Cambridge, Ohio on August 30, 1938 to the late Howard and Mary (Bishard) King. She passed away Saturday September 10, 2011 at OSU Medical Center. She was 73.

She graduated from Cambridge HS with the class of ’57; was active with the Northfork PTO, Eden Community Center, Eden Mother’s Club, the Auxillary of the Mary Ann Vol Fire Dept, and retired from Tee Jaye’s Country Place in 1999. Patricia loved to do word searches, scrapbooking, cook, collect Longaberger baskets and dearly loved Town House Crackers and diet Mountain Dew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons and one sister.

Patricia married Ralph Edward McElroy on Nov. 18, 1961; they would have soon celebrated 50 years of marriage. She is survived by Ralph (Mac) McElroy, her children Joy (Kevin) Broseus, Jay McElroy, Jodi (Ron) Mortimer, “adopted” daughter Jill Bero Osborn; grandchildren Kyleigh, Kennedy, Dakota, Holden, McKina, Cheyenne, Tyler, Kassie, Jazmine, and Baby Gage. Six siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services.
