

Patricia Miller Quinby, age 87, passed away Tuesday December 2, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio. Patricia was the daughter of the late Garnett (Cox) Miller and Emerson W. Miller of Wooster, Ohio. Patricia lived most of her life in Wooster, Mansfield and Upper Arlington, Ohio, the last 50 years in Upper Arlington. She was a graduate of Laurel High School in Cleveland and Wooster College and taught English before becoming a full time homemaker, mother, devoted church member, charity worker and friend to many. Patricia was devoted to helping others, whether through Head Start or through the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington. She took great pride in her hometown of Wooster and Wooster College, her alma mater. She was devoted to her husband of 65 years, Richard and her children, William Parker Quinby of McLean, VA and Richard Emerson Quinby of Wellesley, MA. She took great joy in her granddaughters, Katherine, Lee, Allyson and Jennifer and her brand new great grandchildren, Kendra Leigh Spencer and William Thomas Spencer IV. Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard, sons, William and Richard, daughters-in-law, Shannon and Stephanie, grandchildren, Katherine Brinkley, Lee Quinby, Jennifer Quinby Spencer and Allyson Quinby and great grandchildren, Kendra and Will Spencer, who all will miss her deeply. She is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Reed, of Washington D.C. who was a dear and devoted sister. Patricia’s mother, father and stepfather also passed years ago. Her dear friends from Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ruth Circle, Prime Timers, Covenant food pantry, Dividenders Investment Club and Poor’s Pupils Investment Club will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221 at 10:00am on Friday, December 5, 2014 with a reception immediately following at the church. Rev. Tracy Keenan is officiating. A graveside service and burial will take place at the Wooster Cemetery in Wooster, Ohio on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:45pm, followed by a visitation/reception in the Wooster Cemetery Chapel.
