Patricia was born on October 11, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late John and Eva (Grublauskas) Norris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel G. Schaner; her grandson, Connor M. Schwarzell; and her sister, Marie (Norris) Nash.
Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Victoria Gloyd of Reynoldsburg and Susan (Hank) Schwarzell of Canal Winchester; her sons, William (Elizabeth) Schaner of Grand Ledge, Steven (Elizabeth) Schaner of Allendale, and Thomas (Shelley) Schaner of Pataskala; and her ten grandchildren, David (Wendy Engler) Gloyd, Kendra Gloyd, Haley (Anthony Picard) Schaner, Abigail Schaner, Samantha (Alec) Mulder, Katharine Schaner, Anne Schaner, Daniel Schaner, Jason (Sam) Schwarzell, and Ryan Schwarzell. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Layla Gloyd, Ben Mulder, Colton Mulder, Connor J. Schwarzell, Lucas Picard-Schaner, Ancelmo Gloyd, and Emma Engler; her brother, Robert (Bernadette) Norris; her sister, Christine Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia retired from Kroger after 30 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for many years. Patricia enjoyed reading and writing and had a love of travel. Most of all, she cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved.
Family and friends may call from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43232 with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, Michigan, at a later date.
