Patricia Isabel Smith

Patricia was born on March 9, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois to the late Charles and Edith (Sandidge) Smith. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1948 with a degree in education. In the same year she married Sheldon Smith, who survives, and they remained together for the last 68 years. Together they raised a family and Patricia was very active in her children's school activities. She was very social and loved to listen to music and dance and play bridge. Among her many interests, she was fond ofhorseback riding, the water, Ford tractors and her husband's Harley-Davidson. Later in life she volunteered at Mt. Carmel East and worked many years in the gift shop. She was a member of the YMCA, Silver Sneakers and TWIG.

Patricia is survived by her daughters Sheryl (George) Annes and Leslee (Edgar) Blake; grandchildren Allyson (Steven) Kushner, Stephen (Cari) Gundee, Daron Blake and Stacey Smith; great-grandchildren Calvin, Laken and Levi; special friend Judy Smith and brother-in-law Ralph (Joann) Smith.

SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. The family will hold a private committal of Patricia's urn at the Mifflin Twp. Cemetery columbarium.
