

Patricia Ann (Hope) Snodgrass, aged 78, passed away on June 29, 2016 at Serenades Memory Care Center, The Villages Florida, after a long battle with dementia. Patricia was born November 8, 1937, at Horse Pen Creek, West Virginia, the daughter of Oswald Paris Hope and Edith (Trent) Hope. Patricia graduated from Gilbert High School, (Gilbert, West Virginia) in 1955 and soon after married her high school sweetheart Roy Kenton Snodgrass of Justice, West Virginia. They lived together in marriage for 55 years in the Columbus, Ohio area until Kenton's death in May, 2009. After a brief stint at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, Patricia attended beauty school in Columbus Ohio and earned her cosmetology license. She began styling hair in 1960 and opened her own beauty shop, Terri's Tint N' Trim, on Cleveland Avenue in 1967. Patricia loved family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed making holidays extravagant, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving where her talents in cooking were always a special treat. She loved spending weekends and summers with grandchildren and friends at their camper at Deer Creek State Park. Those who were privileged to know "Trish" will remember her for her Christ like charity, her kind caring service to anyone who needed assistance and her appreciation for beautiful clothing, hats and jewelry. Patricia is survived by her son Mark Shane (Annette) Snodgrass of The Villages Florida, brother, Harley Thomas (Cathy) Hope of Westerville Ohio, brother-in-law Michael Dale Snodgrass (Jo Beerman) of Johnstown, Ohio; grandchildren Joshua (Susette) Snodgrass, Rachel (Ben) George, Shana and Michael Trent Snodgrass; great grandchildren Emily, Ethan, Kyra, Zoey and Jarren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio where a Celebration of Life service will take place at 4 p.m. Private family interment at a later date.
