Patricia Stanton

Patricia J. Stanton, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. Patricia was born in Morgantown, WV on February 12, 1934. She is preceded in death by husband, John F. Stanton; mother, Cecilia Tennant; and father, Blair Tennant. Patty is survived by her daughter, Terri (Joe) Eierman of Sunbury; sons, John (Liz) of Worthington, Joe (Pam) of Raleigh, NC, Tim of Edgewood, MD, and Matt (Teresa) of Croton; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brother Dick (Judie) Tennant; brothers and sisters in-law, Mary and Lou Vonville, Sally Boylan, Fr. Francis M. Stanton and Ron and Jan Stanton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Patty was a long time member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she served many years as a Eucharist Minister. She was a past usher at the Palace Theater. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family. A special thanks to all who helped care for her over the last year, especially Adelle, Aunt Judie, Linda, Lynn and Mt. Carmel Hospice. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 4-7pm at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229 and again on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 9-10am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am; Father Francis M. Stanton and Father Charles E. Cotton, co-celebrants. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
