Patrick R. Close, age 71 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Columbus to the late Richard and Mary Anne Close and graduated from St. Mary's High School. After graduation, Patrick proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a longtime and active member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #189. Patrick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan; children Craig, Joseph, and Jennifer Close; step-son Kenneth Carl (Kendall) Clovis; grandchildren Alex and Jacob Close, and Kyen Clovis.
