Patty graduated from South High School. Married the love of her life George Ray and went on to have 4 boys. She spent her working years as a payroll manager. She retired to Kings Gate Club, Nakomis, FL., where she taught line dancing, raised money for school supplies for local schools, and was very active with the talent show. She also served on the board at King Gates Club. George and Patty moved back to Ohio to spend time with their children and grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her loving sons Sam (Tere) Ray and Daughter in law Colleen Ray, Michael (Terri) Ray, and Richard Ray. Loving grandchildren Sarah Powers, Alan (Megan) Ray, Robert (Bridgid) Ray, Ben Ray, Kim Board, Chrissy Ray, Mariea Rowe, Jessica Ball, and eight great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving brother Harry Halves Jr. and several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Molly Shaeffer.
Patty is preceded in death by parents Harry Halves Sr. and Virginia Halves, loving husband George Ray, son Scott Ray, and very special grand-daughter Ashlee Ray.
Patty loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, line dancing and watching tennis. She will be missed dearly by her family but know that she is with the Lord. We take comfort in knowing that she is healthy and whole, and with her loved ones who went before her.
A graveside service is planned for a later date at Groveport Cemetery, Groveport, OH.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Patty in the hospital when we were not able to be with her. They are true heroes! The family also wishes to send a special thanks to Brookdale Senior Living for the loving care Patty received in their memory care unit.
