

Paul E. Dillon, age 92, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at home. He was born September 23, 1921 in Warren, Ohio to the late Eugene & Dorothy (Scott) Dillon. His loving wife, Anna Totten Dillon, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage, preceded him in death in 1999. A devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family and friends. Paul was a gentle man who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his two sons, Gregory (Barbara) Dillon and Brett (Shelley) Dillon; grandson, Taylor Dillon; granddaughter, Lauren Dillon; and dear friends.
Paul served in World War II in Europe with the 83rd Infantry Division. He was City Treasurer of Warren, Ohio. Moved to Columbus, to join Boulevard Savings & Loan Publications, and eventually became owner & president. Paul was very involved in Boy Scouting, Exploring and Venturing. He served at local and national levels and received several awards for outstanding service to youth. He enjoyed genealogy and volunteering at the Ohio History Center library. Paul was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and Northwood Presbyterian in Clearwater, Florida.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Friends may call 10 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
