         We were saddened to hear of Mr. Evans passing. He was truly a wonderful man. Always a big smile and a kind word to all of us. And we knew how much he loved our pizzas and subs. His memory will always be with us.

My uncle Paul was a good man.  I’ve always looked up to him.  His life was an example of how we should all try to live.  He worked hard and earned a retirement.  He was a great husband to Kay, and a great father to his children and grandchildren.  He tread lightly in this world.  He never took a penny that wasn’t his.  He always treated me, and everyone else, very well.  I have fond memories of Paul, going all the way back to “twenty-eight ten” (those of you who know what that is just smiled…).  I remember that vice grip thing he would do to us kid’s knees, which Casey mentioned below.  I also remember his signature line “no need to run off so soon” that Brandon mentioned.  He would say it even if it was one o’clock in the morning.  You could always just be yourself around Paul.  Rest In Peace Papaw.  We will miss you. -Chris Weldon

I would like to pass along my condolences for your loss.  I know Paul will be missed by all those who knew him.

My name is Casey Walker, Amber (Dickson) Walker's husband.  I love papaw so much, I am blessed to be a part of this family.  Papaw and Mamaw never treated me different than any of there grandchildren, they ARE MY Mamaw and Papaw.  Papaw always made me laugh, if it was because of him teasing my kids about being his girlfriends or cause of him squeezing my knee and putting me in a head lock or just being goofy when we were playing Phase 10.  In the 12 years I have been in this family I don't have one bad memory of him.  Papaw will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.  I love you Papaw.

Papaw and I would stay up till the early hours of the morning drinking chocolate milk and watching about the muskcrats lol. I couldn't tell you how many times that mans tongue has touched my mouth from him sticking it out before I kiss him lol or shoving his teeth out so u get a lip full of that :) I love you papaw..

There are so many memories to choose from! Going fishing in the woods behind the house, sitting out in the yard on hot Sumer days...gathered around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. I think one of my recent favorites is after not seeing him for a while, we crossed paths in the store. He hugged me and told me that he will always love me no matter what... Always has, always will. Best Papaw in the world.

I haven't seen Paul in nearly 10 years, but he is someone that I have never, and will never, forget.  I only ever knew him as Papaw because that is what he insisted I call him from the moment I met him.  He treated me like one of his own grandchildren and would take in any misfits like me that he came across.  I have never met someone with so much love and compassion before and Papaw will be dearly missed by many people. <3

hi my name is carly walker and i am papalws graet grand darghter and my favorite memory is!!!!!! well when he always told me that he loved me i always new he loved me because he told me that he did all the time oww of corse i would say it back . this one time he said that he would always love me and i said i know you do.did you now that he said why are you here and i said for you and you dont need to be here for me and i oh yes i do because i love you and he said i always new you were the perfcite girl friend for me and i would laugh and give him a hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont now what do with out him so i just wrote him this letter i hope he likes it.i love you papaw i wounder what you do with papa up there just sit on a binch and smock a sigar!!!!!!!hahaha lol.love you papaw!!!!!!!!!!!!

My name is christy.. Paul H Evans granddaughter and I remember everything.. I remember papaw taking me fishing down at the lake and teaching me how to stick the worm on the hook. I remember siting out on the porch as the humming birds came and went and he would tell me "just be still" and he would laugh as the humming bird came really close to me and I would jump up scared it was gonna poke at me. I remember sitting out back on the swing feeding the ducks with him. He was a man of few words but the words he spoke were ones of truth and love.. His last night in the hospital I went up late to give him his ice mocha that I promised to bring back and I sat in bed with him and watched T.V and he said to me "it's a real good family" and I said yes, it really.. I love you papaw. With all my heart and I can't wait to see you again someday and tell you how much I missed you. You were more than my papaw you were my father and the only man I could count on to always be there.. I love you.. Love Chrissy.

There are 2 things I will always remember about Pa.  First, from the very first day I met him he always treated me like his own son.  Not a son-in-law but like his own son.  He always made me feel welcome no matter what the circumstances and I will always love him for that.  Second every fall we would spend our time watching football on the couch together while the girls we in the kitchen talking.  It didn't matter who was playing, we just liked watching the games and talking.  I will miss that very much.

You will always hold a special place in my heart.

my name is kaylee walker and i am his great grand daughter. i love my papaw very much!! my favorite memory of my papaw is when i would walk in the door to give him a hug and he would say "this is my girl friend " lol i would laugh really hard!! mamaw would tell him to leave me alone and those girls dont wanna be ur girl friend haha i always have so much fun with my papaw and i loved going to their house!! i will miss him so much and im not sure what ill do w/o him here but i do no he`ll always be in my heart!! i love u papaw!!!!!!!!!

i am tori dickson pauls grand daughter!! i love my papaw very much! he became my father figure after my dad passed away 7 yrs ago, and he was always there for me and did anything and everything he could for everyone!! he was the greatest papaw anyone could ever have! my favorite memory of papaw is when i would go to sit down next to him he would always hurry up and stick his hand under my thighs and pinch em and tickle me!! lol i would laugh so hard! i loved when he picked on me and messed with me and he loved when i would say "oh my gosh its gettin hot in here" he would laugh cuz my face would turn red!! haha i love and miss him and noone can ever replace him. i love u papaw u will always be in my heart.. him and mamaw are the world to me and i dont no what we will all do w/o him around!!

i am amber walker pauls first born grand daughter and he was a great papaw and we all love and miss him always!!! one of my favorite memories is when i  would hug him bye as we were leaving and i wpould say i love u papaw and he would say "u love me why" lol i would say cuz ur my papaw!! then he said i love u too huh!! or u no i love u and we all really did no he loved us cause he would of done anything for anyone of us!! i love u always and forever papaw u will always be in my heart!! <3

Uncle Paul was a very easy going person.  Paul was one of the few uncle that was always around when I was young so I have a lot of good memories.  Like his family he will be greatly missed.  My thoughts are with the family.  You was and always be in my prayers.

I am Pauls sister-in-law "Cissy"  I will alway's remember how soft spoken Paul was, and if anyone ever needed a hand, Paul was always one of the first to show up and never ask for anything in return.  He was a hard worrker, He loved Kay, his children, and grandchidren, he liked Dogs, and cats and how gentle he was with them.  Paul will truly be missed by many, he will never be forgotten.

I am Brandon Plott, Pauls Grandson. I have many wonderful memories of my papaw. Wheather it be us planing morning glories in the garden or him poking and proading me with his finger; it was never a dull moment. It didnt take much to make him a happy man. A pack of orange gummies or a root beer float would suffice. The thing I think I will miss about him were our conversations on the swing in the back yard or porch just talking about life. Most of all I will miss what he said every time I was leaving their house, "No need to run off so soon." He would also always ask if I were still working. He was a wonderful father and an even better Papaw to all of his grandkids. He is loved very much and he knows that and will be missed. I love ya papaw.
