Paul V. Hickman

Paul V. Hickman, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 15, 2012 at Emeritus at Lakeview. He was born April 26, 1925 in Columbus to the late Edgar and Anna (Killian) Hickman; also predeceased by sister, Betty Collins. He was a 1942 graduate of South High School and served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Paul retired from a long career in the printing industry. He enjoyed softball, bowling, golf, and music, but above all, loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Doris (Harble) Hickman; children, Paula Hickman of Groveport, Howard Hickman of Pickerington and Peggy Frost of Westerville; beloved grandchildren, Brandon and Brett Frost; sister-in-law, Lois Bain; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 as well as Wednesday from 10-11am at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 322 E. Stewart Ave. Columbus, OH 43206 where funeral service will begin at 11am; Pastor Snowden G. Sims, officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of Emeritus at Lakeview and Heartland Hospice.
