Paul E. Jones

Paul Edward Jones, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Flintridge Care Center in Newark. He was born in Columbus on February 24, 1937, to the late Paul Edward and Bernice Jones. Paul served our country in the US Army, and worked as a truck driver as a member of Local Union 413. He loved golf and spent time playing and working on the course, and he also enjoyed Bruce Lee movies, playing cards, and was famous for his homemade pizzas. He was an avid Notre Dame fan, and he enjoyed watching Saturday football with his great friends, Ray and Doug. He is survived by his good friend, Cheryl Ambrus; children, Robert Ivan Jones, Sandra Jean Lahmon, Dorothy Elizabeth Jones, Dennis Lee Jones, and Tracy Lynn Lahmon; nieces and nephews, William Hann Jr., Susan Suttles, and Thomas Hann; step-daughter, Dawn Cook; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; cousin (brother) John Nincehelser and family; John (Darlene) Bucci and family; former spouse, Carol Cox; and dog Happy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert William Jones. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
