Paul McCoy

Paul McCoy, age 83, passed away on 12/25/2020 in Columbus, Ohio. Paul was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina. He was the son of Samuel Edward McCoy Jr. and Bessie Abbott McCoy. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years Ginette Sayagh McCoy, his brothers Billy Ray McCoy, Samuel Edward McCoy III, and his sister Catherine Jackson Brown. He is survived by his daughter Colette McCoy; grandson Michael Paul McCoy; granddaughter Ella McCoy; his sister Margaret Muegge; sister-in-law Kay Shepherd McCoy; brother-in-law Stanley Cohen and sister-in-law Yvonne Cohen; brother-in-law Jacques Sayagh and sister-in-law Lucette Sayagh, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Paul attended Edwards Military Institute and was a member of the US Air Force. After leaving the military he started a transportation business and over the years has owned several transportation and logistics businesses. Paul never retired – staying busy and active with friends and family. He enjoyed learning all he could about American and Military history and was very patriotic. He loved helping others and doing whatever he could to support family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Memorial gathering will be held Friday, January, 8, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue from 4-6pm. Attendance will be monitored for social distancing and masks are required.
