

Paul A. Santangini of Worthington, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, after a heroic battle with lymphoma at Arlington Court Nursing Center. He was born in Providence, R.I., to Ernest and Alice Santangini. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Connie. He is also survived by children, Michael (Kathleen), Gregg (Suzanna), and Susan; stepsons, Kent (Beth) Dusthimer, and Dean (Sonya) Dusthimer; grandchildren, Nikki, Lisa, Summer, Brittany (Andrew), Luke, Jake, Olivia, Eilish, and Aodhan; and great grandson, Layne. Paul served in the US Navy for 17 years. He was a civil engineer retiring from Ashland Chemical Company. Paul and Connie loved to ballroom dance, and he served as president of the Denzare-Trio Dance Club for eight years. He was newsletter editor of the TTOS Train Club for countless years and was a graduate of Purdue University. He loved people and had many wonderful neighbors and friends. Paul was a great supporter of the GingerSnaps Dance Group and would accompany his wife and dancers to performances. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 4, at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
