

Paul Alan Telthorster, age 70, of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 22, 2019. Born on November 7, 1948 at Scotts AFB, IL. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Franklin Telthorster. Survived by his mother, Dorothy Telthorster; his devoted wife Mary Telthorster of 49 ½ years; daughters Michele Johnson (Jason), Heidi Sheehy (James), and Tara Telthorster, grandchildren; Gavin, Gabriella, Eleanor, Evelyn, Alma, Elizabeth, and Adalyn; brother, Mark Telthorster (Camille); sister, Jan McGinnis (Larry); and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, OH. His faith and his family were the most important things to him. Paul enjoyed being active outdoors including gardening, swimming, basketball, and tennis. Paul was an avid OSU fan, and proud of his German heritage. Other interests include cooking, computers and all things David Bowie.
Paul received his life saving double transplant on January 28, 1998, giving him 21 more years to enjoy his life and watch his family grow. He was always so grateful to receive this gift and never took it for granted. A special thank you to Keith for the selfless decision to be an organ donor.
The family would also like to thank the staff at OSU hospitals, Select Specialty Hospitals, and HUP in PA for all the amazing care he's received over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church, Gahanna, OH. Family and friends will be received 10-11 AM, with a service to follow at 11. A luncheon provided after the service. Casual dress attire. Consider wearing Ohio State, David Bowie, or green for Lifeline of Ohio.
