

Paul Keil Uhrig, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on March 17, 2022. He was known to family and friends as Keil. He was born on September 13, 1955, to Charlotte Taylor Uhrig and Paul Keil Uhrig, Sr. In Chillicothe, Ohio. Keil is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl (Lindsey) Uhrig, his daughter Ashely Uhrig (Jared Peshek), stepson Jeremy McMahen, grandchildren Jessica McMahen and Jakob Peshek. He is also survived by sisters Ann Uhrig Gitzke (Vic), Mary Uhrig Murphy (Jerry), Aunt Anna Kathryn Delong, along many nieces, nephews and cousins. Keil was preceded in death by his parents, brother Philip Uhrig and stepson Tim McMahen.
Keil left behind many, many family and friends that will hold stories of him forever in their hearts, including best friend Rob Edstrom (Annette) and best friends Steve Peterson (Lois) and Doug Mitchell (Becky) who preceded him in death. He was loved by everyone that met him in his journey on earth. Keil had a heart of gold and loved until it hurt. He was the most selfless man God has ever made. He was one of a kind and will be so sadly missed!
Keil graduated from Reynoldsburg High School and worked for 35 years at the J C Penney warehouse, where a lot of his lifelong friends came from. He started his own business in March of 1998, while still working at JCP. He opened a bar, Putters Pub, that has been very successful due to the care and compassion that he put into it and his customers.
Keil loved so many sports. He had his favorite teams in all sports that he cheered on like he was part of the team! Before becoming ill, he was an avid golfer and played softball for many years. He loved and spoiled his family. God called him home as it was time for his pain and suffering to end. Life will never be the same without Paul Keil Uhrig Jr.
