Pauline Lucille Porter

Pauline “Polly” Porter, age 91, of New Albany, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was born in Butler, Ohio on April 5, 1923 to the late Frank and Dorothy (Law) Tschappat. Polly was graduate of Portsmouth High School. She was a proud member of Bexley Women’s Club as well as Bexley United Methodist Church for many years. Most recently she was a member of New Albany United Methodist Church. Polly was a secretary at Capital University for many years. She loved to paint with watercolors and was a great artist. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James M. Porter; and brother, Mel Tschappat. She is survived by her loving children, Susan (William) Johnston, Sandra (Larry) Clark, David (Joan) Porter; grandchildren, Andy (Jaclyn) Clark, Jessica Clark, Richard (Erica) Porter and Misty Porter; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Sean, Rose, and Alaina; sister, Marge Durbin; extended family and friends.

Friends may call from 4- 7pm on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD) Gahanna. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Pastor Frank Luchsinger officiating. Private Interment at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
