

Peggy Lou McKenzie-Johnston, 54, Passed away on February 21, 2015. She was born on November 25, 1960, born and raised in Galloway, Ohio by her parents Gene and Betty McKenzie. Peggy worked for The Bag and Franklin County Children Services; she was very passionate about her work. She attended and Graduated from Westland High School. She was a caring, loving mother that raised two children; Kyle Johnston and Shawn Simmermon. Some good memories are: Peggy made a bad situation funny in many manners such as making faces and even making a joke or two. Peggy enjoyed her time with her son at lunches talking about different topics or current events. In the evening, she liked events such as watching a movie or going bowling. Protecting her family in such that she protected her nephews from their parents such as getting into trouble from opening food when they are not supposed to at the time. The biggest part of her was her family, she would do anything to help out or even defend a family member when needed at the time. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty McKenzie; and nephew, Buddy Mckenzie. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 30 years, Dale Johnston; sons, Kyle Johnston and Shawn Simmermon; grandson, Liam Simmermon; father, Gene McKenzie; brothers, Ted and Nick McKenzie; sister, Jannie McCormick; niece, Candy Evans; nephew, Kenny (Mary Ellen) McCormick; nephews, Jonathan and Jacob Evans, and Joshua Lou Howard; and many other nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 11:00PM-1:00PM with funeral service following at 1:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Pastor Mike Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Alton Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
