

Peter Williams, 59, born in Wiesbaden, Germany and residing in Columbus, Ohio, found peace May 25, 2013. He graduated from Teays Valley High School, class of 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his overseas assignment to Germany and travels throughout Europe before leaving the Air Force after nearly a decade of honorable service. He continued to travel with his work as a telephone repair man and later as an instructor for new telephone installation technicians. He completed his Associate degree, following his passion of assisting those with special needs and developmental disabilities. He enjoyed a rewarding 20 year career with Franklin County teaching, learning from and encouraging others. He was an activist for equality, an avid gardener and passionate about his plants, animals and birds. With his passing he is reunited with life partner Larry Alsbach; mother Lisa Ritzel; sister Helen Hoffman and father Richard Williams. Survived by son, Captain Andrew (Christine) Williams; daughters Katie (Jeff) Pearson, Becky Williams (Tommy) Plunkett; life friend Karen Williams; granddaughters Abby, Ella and Lilly Pearson and Ava Williams-Plunkett; sister Rene McHone; brothers Bob Huff, Randy Huff and Bill Huff. He will be loved and missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Memorial Service to be held Friday, May 31, 2013 2pm at Grove City’s Fryer Park, Eagle Pavilion. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 4:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kobacker House or the Arbor Day Foundation.
