

Phyllis L. (Hutton) Hammond, 79 of New Albany, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at her home. She was born February 13, 1931 in Columbus. Phyllis married Frank J. Hammond on February 14, 1948. Phyllis retired as a cafeteria server in the Westerville City Schools in the mid 1990’s, after 30 years. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and was very devoted to her grandchildren. She was a member of Franklin Church and Women’s Auxiliary VFW. Phyllis was a hard worker and an avid OSU fan. Preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Mary Hutton and brother, Donald Hutton. Phyllis will be missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank; daughters, Mary (Frank) Sanford and Linda (Princeton) Hosier; grandchildren, Glenn Hosier, Angela (Joe) Northrop and Scott Sanford; great-grandchildren, Ava Northrop and Kaleb Hosier; and sister, Hazel Marcus. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, and again Thursday from 9am until the time of funeral service at 10am at Franklin Church, 7171 Central College Rd., New Albany, Pastor Mike Brown, officiating.
