

Phyllis Ann Havener, 93, loving wife, mother and friend, passed on March 1, 2016. Born July 1, 1922. Predeceased by Husband, William H. Havener, M.D., Parents Wendell and Vida Johnson, and brothers Wendell (Whip) his wives Norma and Marian, and Dwight (Joan, living). Survived by sister-in-law, Irma Huber (Paul, deceased); Children: William Michael (Jimmy Treston), Mark (Teri), Ann (Richard Estabrook), Gail (John Dirina), John (Lisa Schneider), Amy (Alan Spencer), Neal (Deb); Grandchildren: Wesley, Emily, Rosemary and Celeste Havener; Benjamin, Kathryn, and Kristen Estabrook; Rachel Spencer List (Andrew) and Anna Spencer; nephews, nieces, family and friends too numerous to mention. Phyllis loved unconditionally and gave without asking. She cared more for the welfare of others than she did for herself. She was a wonderful Mother and Friend. Phyllis and William met at The College of Wooster, where they later established a scholarship. They wanted to contribute their energy, time, and money to make a better world, and they did. Phyllis recently donated 200 acres in Delaware County for a permanent park. All Phyllis' children and grandchildren graduated from college, with the youngest, Kristen, graduating from Phyllis' Alma Mater Wooster in the Spring. Phyllis' first Great Grandchild is expected in June. Life has come full circle. Thanks to the staff at Roxbury and First Community for the exceptional care, love, and kindness given to Phyllis.
