She was born on August 11, 1946, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to her loving parents, Louis and Margret Carle. Phyllis lived a life marked by faith, kindness, service, and unwavering love for her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit meant so much to those who loved her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hyer, and her parents. She is survived by her sisters, Sandi (Jim) Erwin and Patti (Jim) Sobek; sons Tim (Teresa) Hyer and Steve (April)
Hyer, six grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her love, guidance, and countless memories.
Phyllis faithfully served her church community as a church secretary, a role that reflected her servant's heart and deep faith. She worked quietly behind the scenes, finding joy in life's simple
blessings. She loved playing the piano, singing hymns, and filling her home with amazing food.
Though she will be missed more than words can express, we are grateful for every memory, lesson, and moment of love she shared with us. Her life was a blessing, and her love a gift that will
remain in our hearts forever.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 25, at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, 15 Clinton Heights Ave., Columbus, Ohio. The family will receive visitors from 12:00-2:00, with
a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m.
