Phyllis C. Lewis, age 87, passed away on August 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on August 20, 1938 in Louisa, Kentucky to Lewis and Garnet (Reynolds) Roberts. Phyllis was a licensed practical nurse and worked for a cardiologist's office for many years. She loved helping others. She was a member of Westgate United Methodist Church and had a strong faith. Phyllis enjoyed knitting, was an excellent seamstress; an amazing baker who enjoyed sharing her bake goods with others. She also loved to read. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Elvin “Louie” Lee Lewis; parents Lewis and Garnet Roberts; sibling, Charles Roberts, Raymond (Peggy) Roberts, and Janet (Robert) Johnson; and her brothers-in-law, Eugene Carpenter and Harry Holland. Survived by her sisters, Norma Carpenter and Ruth Holland; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
