Phyllis Jean Loftus

Phyllis Jean (Ralston) Loftus, age 85 of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, October 4, 2014. Phyllis was an Avon salesperson for 43 years and a member of the Avon President’s Club. She enjoyed bowling with her friends in leagues and was an avid OSU fan. Phyllis liked to participate in football pools and would sometimes organize them. She also had quite a sweet tooth. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Loftus. She is survived by her children Larry (Colleen) Loftus, Leonard (Karen) Loftus, Barbara (Wes) Johnson, and Jim (Kathy) Loftus; grandchildren Cynthia (Matt) Doyle, Wendy (Matt) Sherman, Jimmy Loftus, Tiffany (Kevin) Voigt, Larry (Angie) Loftus, Steve Loftus, Barbara Mitchell (Matt), Brian (Amber) Loftus, and Wesley (Lauren) Johnson; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews; special neighbors Jimmy & Carol Houchard; and many dear friends. Friends may call 4-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the funeral service at 10 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel 229 E. State St. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
