Priscilla J. Alkire

Priscilla Jean Alkire, age 80 of Gahanna, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. Priscilla was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Albert and Theda Dominico. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Alkire. Priscilla retired from DCSC and was a contributor to St. Matthew the Apostle Church. She was a very bright, strong and fair woman with a heart of gold. She enjoyed cooking and great conversation, but most of all, Priscilla loved being a grandmother and enjoyed time spent with her granddaughter. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Kevin E. Alkire and Michael E. Alkire; granddaughter, Aryell Alyssa Alkire; sisters, Rose Marie Smith, Alberta Ray, and Magdalene Dran; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 P.M. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will then travel in procession to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens and a service will be held in their chapel at 2 P.M. Thursday.
