Ray Carlton Redman

Ray was born November 23, 1968, in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Darryl Redman and Pamela MacCaughey. He spent the majority of his life working in the food industry and pest control industry; he spent the last 9 years of his life working for Terminix Pest Control growing with the company in many ways. Ray was strong in his faith, attending Church regularly and letting the lord play a big role in his day-to-day life. Ray strongly believed in volunteer work, regularly partaking as a volunteer at food drives, soup kitchens, and mission trip work through his church where he supported children in other countries by funding and donating supplies yearly when he could.

Ray was a loving son and father. Family meant everything to him. Ray was always the person to make people laugh. He had a goal to make people smile at the end of every interaction with him. He often listened to jazz, no matter the time of day or mood he was in. Ray loved the Ohio State buckeyes, both the school and athletic teams. Ray was a buckeye at heart. Ray was a man of many skills; He loved to play the guitar and piano and would sing every chance he got. One of Rays favorite things to do with his daughter was play basketball; they would go pretty much anywhere with a basketball hoop and make the magic happen.

Ray is preceded in death by his Father, Darryl Ray Redman; his grandmothers, Tiny Daisy Redman and Dorothy Mae Neuls; and his sister, Rebekah Ann MacCaughey.

Ray is survived by those who loved him most including his daughter, Abigail Paige (John Mayer) Redman; his mom, Pamela Ann (Bill) MacCaughey; his brothers, Aaron Paul (Kristina) MacCaughey and Joel Stephen (Kristin) MacCaughey, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family will accept friends 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus where funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Chris McConaughy officiating.
