Ray was a great guy to know and work with. His love and concern about CARE Outreach in Vinton Co. was wonderful. I will miss Ray and that contagious smile coming in to CARE to visit or drop off supplies and or donations. Rest in peace buddy, I'll see you on the other side. Oh yes, GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!

Divine Peace Bouquet was purchased for the family of Raymond F. Bostic.

Ray and I were friends for 40 years.  Many of my most favorite memories involve time spent with Ray.  Whether it was sitting on the deck overlooking the lake at Hidden Valley smoking cigars, pulling a bass out of Lake Erie that had both his hook and my hook in its mouth, or boating around Florida with Dick DeRoberts, Ray was always fun to be with and a great companion.  Ray’s name should appear in the dictionary under the word Friend, because he was the epitome of all that word represents.  There is simply no measure to the amount of good that Ray and Pat accomplished during their years together.  Ray’s passing is a great loss to countless people whose lives were made better by his genuine care and empathy.  We can all take heart in our knowledge that Ray enjoyed a truly extraordinarily good life.  A very good man may now Rest In Peace. Ray, we will all see you again soon enough.

Bette and I knew Ray and Pat thru daughter Bonnie's marriage to son, Fred.
Thus became our observation of Rays dedication to his family, Friends, OSO,
the valley and love of life. I further had the pleasure of joining on some fishing
trips as well as family social gatherings. Ray was indeed a pleasure to be with
and for that I will always be grateful. Go in  peace Brother and know you will

From my earliest days in Rotary, I have always regarded Ray as a prime example of what it means to be a Rotarian.  He was also a great human being and an inspiration to all.  We were lucky to have him and he will be missed.

Ray was one of the "rocks" for us at Riverside. His hearty smile and kind words never failed to lift the spirits. Even in his and Pat's own personal time of tragedy,  Roy could show how faith in Jesus can give you strength to go on. I will always remember our time in the kitchen when we, along with Bill Carleton, Jim Nicklaus, and with David Griebner sometimes pitching in, cooked for Easter Morning breakfasts, Valentine's Day and other events. Not to mention the sticky buns from his and Pat's recipes, well  before they became an official "Ministry".

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Bostic family.  We have always enjoyed knowing them and looked forward to seeing the in Riverside United Methodist Church (RUMC). In later years, Ray and Pat's presence and their kind words added great joy for us.  The last trip I made with Ray and Pat up the RUMC elevator to attend church is especially memorable.  Pat was pushing Ray in a wheel chair.  He asked me if I needed to trade places with him.  I told Ray that I thought I could make it.  We will miss Ray so very much.
