Raymond B. Burris

Raymond B. Burris, age 86, of Columbus, died Friday, November 12, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born June 9, 1935 in South Williamstown, Kentucky son of Raymond B. and Lucille (Humphrey) Burris. Ray was a retired machine operator from Owens-Illinois following over 45 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma J. Burris; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Candi Burris; grandchildren, Rebecca L. Mendenhall, Jeff Mendenhall and Nikki Mendenhall; great grandchildren, Blaine, Vance, Jeffery, Victoria, Stacy, Brady, Jeremi and Kenedi; brothers, Joe and Larry Burris; sisters, Joyce Fitch and Linda Moore; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his stepson, Randy Mendenhall; one sister and one brother. Ray was a hard-working man that always put his family first. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, November 18, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family will receive friends 2:00-3:00 pm Thursday.
