Sent a gift in memory of Raymond George Ford

Worked with Ray since the old days of DSAC and up until I retired.  We interacted a lot, he was always helpful and had a good sense of humor.  I am happy he had the opportunity in retirement to enjoy doing all of his hobbies.   From time to time my husband and I would encounter him at car shows.  He seemed to enjoy looking at all the antique cars.  He will be missed.  My prayers are with his family.

I met Raymond while working at DSAC with him.  I've never known Ray to ever say anything mean or unkind.  He was always nice and made me laugh.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Ford Family.

Ray was a great supporter of Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati, he foster, transported, and gave his heart to SRC and the many schnauzer that he saved!  We will truly miss him, he was a special man.

I worked with Ray for a number of years and he was always friendly and helpful with a great sense of humor. My condolences to those he leaves behind.

Lit a candle in memory of Raymond George Ford

The Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati (SRC) family lost a dedicated Rescue Angel. Ray was a SRC board member and dedicated to Schnauzer Rescue. I had the privilege to meet Ray in person at Barkerittaville – 2012 this past fall after several months of him being one of my daily SRC email buddies. Everyone in the SRC family looked forward to Ray's bits of daily wisdom and humor. Ray has made a lasting imprint on my heart and I will miss him greatly. Ray is now an angel and taking care of our SRC pups at the bridge including his Anna and Pepper.

I was honored to know Ray these past few years.  Although we never had the chance to meet in person, only on the internet, I felt I could call him my friend.  Ray blessed us each day with his wit, never allowing life to get too dark.  The generosity I saw in Ray was a rarity in this day and age.  He would give so much of himself to help those who could not help themselves.  I know there is a special place in Heaven for people like Ray.... an angel on Earth as well as in Heaven.  He surely earned his wings.

I did not know Ray well, but we both adopted schnauzers from SRC at about the same time. From the way he cared for his fur babies, and the way he helped sick and injured babies who came into the rescue, it was easy to see what a caring, giving, exceptional human being he was. He made the world around him a better place, and that's quite a legacy.

When Ray introduced himself to me, he told me his name was “Ray of Sunshine.”  And he did bring sunshine into my life every time I danced with him. He was an accomplished dancer and a patient teacher, who loved to tease and challenge me with some of his signature cha-cha moves. I absolutely loved dancing with him and will miss him greatly. Save a dance for me in heaven, Ray.

Victor & Vickie, Am so very sorry for your loss. I met Ray through Maxine Copeland and the Friendship group. He sure loved his dogs and I'm sure his doggies will miss him too.

I met Ray way back in the late 80's when I started dancing. He would always compliment my style and have something nice to say when so many others thought my dancing was too extreme. I'd see him later through the years, and he would always smile and say hello. He was a kind and decent man.

Vickie & Victor,  Sorry for your loss.  It is a loss for me also.  Met Ray through my singles group dances and also ate lunch with him most days at work.  More recently, he was in our Friendshp group.  It is a great loss for us.  You are in my prayers. Maxine
