Lit a candle in memory of Renee Jewett Thompson

I am profoundly saddened for the loss of Renee, and still cannot fathom this. The 'right' words evade me at this time. But I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to Renee's family, friends and loved-ones. The pain of your loss is immeasurable. Please know that I am here for you. My prayers are yours. 

Some random thoughts and memories about Renee:
Having been close friends with Renee for forty-one years, our friendship met the criteria for real sisterhood. Yes, we knew one another that well. We were opposites, much like Felix and Oscar, a quirky pair. Our friendship was filled with many elements which demonstrated just that. We enjoyed having the ability to 'play off' one another in a witty, lively banter that usually morphed into a one-of-a-kind comedic routine. We knew exactly the right buttons to push for producing instantaneous comedic-relief. That is, we could create laughter - in the midst of a seemingly grim a situation. We understood one another intuitively and could easily predict one another's reactions to things. I will remember Renee's laughter and quick-witted humor most of all. Renee also had one of the most genuine laughs -- a deep hearty laughter that came from the soul. The soul of friendship. . .and acceptance.

Renee had one of the most forgiving, tender hearts I've ever known. Outwardly, she had an easy-going kind of spirit about her. Naturally intelligent, she was inquisitive with the sort of mind that absorbed complex, scientific topics with a constant quest for knowledge. At home, Renee was rarely seen without a book in hand - she was a passionate avid reader, an intellectual.

There are so many things to say about how she truly cared about people, loved her family and looked for the good in people. Losing Renee so suddenly has been devastating and shocking to family and friends. Renee will be terribly missed, but always remembered for the sweet, tender soul she was to many. Our memories of Renee will remain with us; kept safely in our hearts forevermore. Rest in Peace, my dear friend. We Love You, Renee!

I am very sorry to hear of Renee passing We attended  Fremont Jr High and  Ross Senior High together and had some fun times together a time or two.. graduates of "1977" !!!!
