

Renne C. Komula Sr., age 72, left this life after a brief but brave battle with cancer on July 23, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Renne was born on August 11, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur A. and Mildred (Hazen) Komula. He graduated from Tech High School in Erie, PA as a carpenter/cabinet maker and spent his entire career in construction, most recently owning and operating Komula Construction. Renne was a member of the New Apostolic Church and served as a minister for over 39 years. Serving the Lord was his passion, and he shared God's love with everyone he met. He also treasured family time, especially trips to the beach and to Disney World, and traveling with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ann (Allred) Komula, children Renne (Dena) Komula and Lisa (Timothy) Speidel, and grandchildren Ashley, Timothy, and Tyler Speidel and Noah and Luke Komula. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Amy Komula and Marlene Komula, brother-in-law John Knowles and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29 from 4-6 p.m. at the New Apostolic Church, 23 Morse Road, Columbus, OH 43214. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m., with music beginning at 6:30.
