Rhoda Ellen Carte

Rhoda Ellen Carte, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. She was born April 4, 1934 in Glen Alum, WV to the late Rev. Arthur Hayes and Nannie Bragg, and is also preceded in death by her husband, Aaron James Carte; and granddaughter, Jessica Erin Rippeth. Rhoda is survived by her daughters, Pamela Paris (Tim) and Erin Ashton (Eric); grandchildren, Robert A. Harris, Jr. (Sara), Heather L. Robertson (Tony), Shellie A. Ray, Ashley M. Harris, Justin W. Rippeth, Jilian R. Rippeth (Tyler), Zac Paris, and Sky Paris; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sister, Clara Marie Whaley. Rhoda was a longtime member of Shadeville Church of God. She loved tending her flowers and caring for her family. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shadeville Church of God, 4800 Lockbourne Rd., Columbus with Pastor Mike Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
